A honey-hunter climbs a tree encircled by Marantaceae. The presence of Marantaceae attests to ancient human activity and the archeologists have found traces of iron and old villages. Fires and slash-and-burn have shaped the forests over time and have favored the forests with open canopies where the Marantaceae grows.///Un chasseur grimpe un arbre entouré de Marantaceae.
