A dozen men from Pak Hamsah's family participate in the harvest. As descendants and heirs of the first owner of the tree, they receive half of the harvested honey. They help build the ladder and transport and press the honey. Before and after the harvest, they clear the ground vegetation as the growth of some trees could disturb the arrival of swarms of bees onto the lalau.///Une dizaine d’hommes de la famille de Pak Hamsah participe à la récolte. Avant et après la récolte, ils nettoient la végétation au sol, la croissance de certains arbres pouvant gêner l’arrivée des essaims d’abeilles sur le lalau.
