For the trees more than 40 metres high, if the trunk is not surrounded by lianas the men climb in the fashion of tree surgeons, with a simple belt made with a liana. The liana is wrapped around the trunk, knotted and they climb in opposition with their feet, making notches in the trunk with an axe.

La liane est entourée autour du tronc, nouée et ils montent en opposition à l’aide de leurs pieds en créant des encoches dans le tronc à l’aide d’un hâche.
