A stone's throw from Piccadilly, Steve Benbow, the beekeeper of the London Bridge, set up hives in 2006 on the terrace of Fortnum and Mason's to produce an exceptional honey for the famous store. "The hives are on top of the roof at Piccadilly, facing south." In 2007, the colonies spent the summer in Oxfordshire, a last breath of fresh air before taking up permanent residence on the roof in Piccadilly in 2008. "After an afternoon of tasting honey, I learned that the best honey is like a good wine: full of bouquet and sensations, far from those honeys mixed to create standardized products. We are a British company and we have a good range of British honeys and the biggest selection- available in Great Britain - of 33 varieties from throughout the world, some exceptionally rare."
