Near the village of Senyuva where he is the mayor, Atilla Guneri, 63 years old and retired teacher, inspects his modern hives set up on a platform in a beech tree. High up in the tree, a trunk hive, a “Kara kovan”, reminds him of his youth. Today, Attila has a hard time climbing to the top of the trees.
